Mandatory On-line GED Registration
Southpointe Adult High School is an official GED Testing Site. It is located on the Salt Lake Community College Campus Jordan ATC at 9301 S Wight Fort Road (3400 W), West Jordan, UT, Building #2. (CAMPUS MAP)

Students who want to take the GED test must register ON-LINE with the National GED Testing Service prior to taking the GED test at Southpointe Adult High School. This online registration will create an account for you which will allow you to access your scores and obtain a report of your GED results. It is very important that all your information is entered correctly prior to taking the test. NOTE: If you do not have an email account, you need to set one up prior to registering online. 

To register with the GED Testing Service, get on the Internet and do the following:

  1. Go to www.ged123.org
  2. Select Register for "New and Potential GED Students."  
  3. When asked for an Access Code, press the continue button.

Southpointe GED Registration and Testing Schedule
Southpointe Adult High School offers GED tests in English and Spanish.  After registering on-line with the GED Testing Service, select a GED test date from the schedule below and call Diane Staley at 801-256-5952 for an appointment. Space is limited and seats are not reserved until the test is paid for. You are not scheduled for the test until the registration paperwork is complete and the test is paid for. The GED test is an eight-hour test.

If you are unable to take the test on the scheduled date, YOU MUST CANCEL BY THE THURSDAY BEFORE THE TEST in order to avoid a $15 rescheduling fee.  If you fail to report on your schedule testing date, you have 90 days from your first testing date to take the test before you receipt expires.

On the Day of the Test
Arrive at Southpointe Adult High School at least 15 minutes early on the day of the test.  No one will be admitted after the scheduled start time.  You must bring the following with you:

  1. A current Government-issued ID (Driver's license, state picture ID, Military ID, or Passport)
  2. Your Proof of Payment receipt
  3. Any required letters

Cell phones and/or pagers should not be brought to the testing area.  You cannot have personal items at your desk.  Any items brought to the test center must be storedat the front of the testing room.  Hats coats, food, drink, calculators, books, papers/and reference materials are not allowed.  Scratch papter, calculators and pencils will be provided as necessary.
